Luton 3-3 Huddersfield: Six-goal thriller ends in a stalemate

Luton were helde ach other to a 3-3 draw by Huddersfield on Tuesday at Kenilworth Road. Luton were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games against Hull City away and Blackburn Rovers at home, by 2-0 and 2-0 respectively while Huddersfield were beaten 3-1 in their previous match against Reading. Luton are now in 9th place, with 17 points from 13 matches, while Huddersfield sit in 23rd, with 8 points from 13.

The Terriers started the match strongly, when Carlton Morris gave them the lead in the 11th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Michal Helik, 18 minutes in, brought The Hatters level. However, each side looked hungry to win and Huddersfield then found the back of the net, at 32 minutes thanks to Jordan Rhodes, taking the score to 2-1. However, they didn’t maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from Elijah Adebayo in the 37th minute, brought Luton level. However they weren’t finished yet and Jordan Clark made it 3-2 just before half-time, which saw the first half end 3-2.

Huddersfield took the lead in the second half, when Ben Jackson found the net, 70 minutes in, seing the match finish 3-3.

Substitutions for Luton included Ruddock Pelly, Harry Cornick and Sonny Bradley for Henri Lansbury, Elijah Adebayo and Fred Onyedinma, respectively. Huddersfield brought on Ollie Turton, Connor Mahoney, Kaine Kesler Hayden, Jack Rudoni and William Boyle for Luke Mbete-Tatu, Jordan Rhodes, Ben Jackson, Duane Holmes and Etiene Camara.

Luton will play away against West Bromwich Albion, while Huddersfield will face Hull City at home.
