Hull City 1-2 Reading: Royals snap winless streak to sink the Tigers

Reading beated Hull City 2-1 on Saturday at Mkm Stadium. Hull City were on the hunt for more points after a scoreless draw against Millwall in their previous match. Reading had lost their previous match against Preston North End. Hull City are now in 20th place, with 24 points from 21 matches, while Reading sit in 12th, with 29 points from 21.

Hull City started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Jacob Greaves gave them the lead on the 9 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Yakou Meite equalised for The Royals in the 32nd minute, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

Reading continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Ryan Longman found the net just before the full time. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

Both managers used all available substitutions. Substitutions for Hull City included Ozan Tufan, Lewie Coyle and Dogukan Sinik for Ryan Woods, Cyrus Christie and Dimitris Pelkas, respectively, Reading brought on Mamadou Loum, Andy Carroll and Lucas Joao to replace Tyrese Fornah, Yakou Meite and Shane Long.

The referee booked Jeff Hendrick for Reading.

Hull City will next play Watford away, with Reading facing Coventry City at home.
