Hull City 3-2 Coventry: Tigers sink the Sky Blues at the Mkm Stadium

Hull City’s 3-2 win over Coventry City on Saturday, was hard fought at Mkm Stadium. Both teams arrived at the match from previous defeats in the league. Hull City arrived at the match looking pick up points after losing their last match 5-2 to West Bromwich Albion. Coventry lost 3-2 in the last match they played against Millwall. As it stands, Hull City are currently 3rd with 11 points from 6 matches, while Coventry sit in 24th, with 1 point from 6.

Hull City started strongly in the first half, when Oscar Estupinan found the net, at 11 minutes. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Matt Godden, 30 minutes in, brought The Sky Blues level. Hull City in turn, then responded just before halftime increasing their lead with a effort from Oscar Estupinan. The score at half time was 2-1.

Hull City continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Oscar Estupinan found the net again, 56 minutes in. Coventry in turn, then responded at the 69 minute mark increasing their lead with a 2nd effort from Matt Godden. The match ended with a 3-2 home victory.

Substitutions for Hull City included Andy Cannon, Ryan Longman, Randell Williams and Cyrus Christie for Vaughn Covil, Oscar Estupinan, Ryan Woods and Benjamin Tetteh, repectively. Coventry brought on Josh Eccles, Callum Doyle, Martyn Waghorn and Tyler Walker for Fankaty Dabo, Jonathan Panzo, Kasey Palmer and Kyle McFadzean.
