Hull City 0-1 Blackburn: Rovers strike up a victory at Hull

Blackburn Rovers’ 1-0 win over Hull City on Saturday, was hard fought at Mkm Stadium. Both Hull City and Blackburn arrived on the back of wins. Hull City were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Rotherham United away and Blackpool away, by 4-2 and 3-1 respectively while Blackburn were coming from consecutive wins against Birmingham City and Sunderland AFC. Hull City and Blackburn currently occupy 18th and 2nd spots in the league, with 20 points and 33 points respectively after 18 matches.

Blackburn started strong and were rewarded, when Sammie Szmodics gave them the lead on the 15 minute mark, ending the first half 1-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

Substitutions for Hull City included Brandon Fleming, Ozan Tufan, Oscar Estupinan, Dogukan Sinik and Lewie Coyle for Alfie Jones, Jean Seri, Greg Docherty, Ryan Longman and Tobias Figueiredo, respectively. Blackburn brought on Daniel Ayala, Hayden Carter, Bradley Dack and Jack Vale, to replace Adam Wharton, Tyrhys Dolan, Sammie Szmodics and Sam Gallagher.

There were bookings for Ryan Woods and Tobias Figueiredo from Hull City, and Scott Wharton, for Blackburn.

Hull City will play their next game at home against Middlesbrough, while Blackburn will face Coventry City away.
