Huddersfield 2 – QPR 2: The Terriers denied all 3 points at John Smith’s Stadium

Huddersfield were held to 2-2 draw by QPR down on Friday at John Smith’s Stadium. Huddersfield were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two matches against Luton Town at home and Hull City away, by 2-0 and 1-0 respectively whilst QPR had lost their previous match against Preston North End. As things stand, Huddersfield are currently 3rd with 70 points from 42 matches, while QPR sit in 12th, with 60 points from 42.
The Terriers started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Yoann Barbet after only 6 minutes. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Luke Amos equalised for Rangers just before half-time. The score at half time was 1-1.
Huddersfield fought back, with Harry Toffolo finding the net, at 53 minutes. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Ilias Chair equalised for QPR, 58 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-2.
Both teams used all available substitutes. For Huddersfield, Duane Holmes, Faustino Anjorin and Pipa, came on for Danny Ward, Danel Sinani and Ollie Turton, QPR brought on Charlie Austin, Andre Gray and Albert Adomah to replace George Thomas, Lyndon Dykes and Luke Amos.
There were bookings for Lewis O’Brien, Duane Holmes and Sorba Thomas from Huddersfield. For QPR, Charlie Austin and Sam Field saw yellow.
Huddersfield will next travel to Middlesbrough, while QPR will face Derby County at home.
