Huddersfield 2 – Bristol 0: The Terriers jubilant after home win against The Robins

Huddersfield Town secures a 2-0 victory against Bristol City at John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday. Both Huddersfield and Bristol arrived on the back of wins. Huddersfield were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the Coventry City away (2-1), the other to Barnsley at home (2-1) while Bristol were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Hull City and Derby County. Following the final whistle at the end of the last game of the Championship season, Huddersfield are in 3rd place on the table and has 82 points while Bristol sit in 17th with 55 points after 46 matches.
The Terriers started the game well, thanks to Harry Toffolo finding the net after 33 minutes. Huddersfield then scored once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Danny Ward just before half-time to secure a 2-0 win. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.
Both teams used all available substitutes. For Huddersfield, Tom Lees, Levi Colwill and Faustino Anjorin, came on for Jonathan Hogg, Harry Toffolo and Danel Sinani, Bristol brought on George Tanner, Duncan Idehen and Andy King to replace Han-Noah Massengo, Robbie Cundy and Timm Klose.
There were bookings for Pipa and Carel Eiting from Huddersfield, and Alex Scott, for Bristol.
