On Saturday, Blackburn Rovers suffer an away defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Fulham were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two matches against Cardiff City away and Peterborough United at home, by 1-0 and 2-1 respectively whilst Blackburn had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 1-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers. As it stands, Fulham and Blackburn are 1st, (73 points) and 4th, (57 points), in the league respectively, after 36 matches.

Fulham started the game well, thanks to Neeskens Kebano finding the net at the 25 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Harry Wilson in the 35th minute, to take a 2-0 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 2-0.

Both teams used all available substitutes. For Fulham, Nathaniel Chalobah, Bobby Reid and Kenny Tete, came on for Jean Seri, Neeskens Kebano and Neco Williams, Blackburn brought on Joe Rankin-Costello, Sam Gallagher and Joe Rothwell, to replace Deyovaisio Zeefuik, Reda Khadra and Tyrhys Dolan.

There were bookings for Neco Williams and Tim Ream from Fulham, and Tyrhys Dolan and Darragh Lenihan, for Blackburn.

Fulham will next travel to Barnsley, while Blackburn will face Bristol City at home.
