Derby 1 – Millwall 2: Visitors steal the show at Pride Park Stadium

Millwall snatched all three points from Derby County in a 2-1 victory on Wednesday, at Pride Park Stadium. Both Derby and Millwall arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Derby had been hopeful of continuing their run, following a 1-0 victory against Peterborough United whilst Millwall were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City. After today’s result, Derby and Millwall currently occupy 22nd and 12th spots in the table, with 21 points and 46 points respectively after 34 matches.
Millwall started the game well, thanks to an early goal from Jed Wallace in the 1st minute. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Tyler Burey, 30 minutes in to see out the first half 0-2.
Derby took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Jake Cooper just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-1.
For Derby, Ravel Morrison, Kazim and Malcolm Ebiowei, came on for Festy Ebosele, Louie Sibley and Krystian Bielik. Millwall replaced Tyler Burey and Mason Bennett for Zak Lovelace and George Evans.
There were bookings for Ryan Allsop from Derby. For Millwall, George Saville saw yellow.
Derby will next play Luton Town away, with Millwall facing Sheffield United at home.
