Coventry 2-0 QPR: Rangers come undone against The Sky Blues

On Saturday, Queens Park Rangers suffered an away defeat to Coventry City at Coventry Building Society Arena. Coventry were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games in the competition. The most recent was against the Watford away (1-0), the other to Blackburn Rovers at home (1-0). QPR had lost their previous match against West Bromwich Albion. Coventry are now in 10th place, with 29 points from 21 matches, while QPR sit in 7th, with 31 points from 21.

The first half of the match started favourably for Coventry, when Viktor Gyokeres gave them the lead, 11 minutes in, ending the first half 1-0.

The Sky Blues once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Viktor Gyokeres found the net once more, at 78 minutes, seing the match finish 2-0.

There were bookings for Callum Doyle and Kyle McFadzean from Coventry. For QPR, Sam Field and Ilias Chair saw yellow.

Coventry will next travel to Reading, while QPR will face Burnley at home.
