Coventry 0 – Bournemouth 3: The Sky Blues humbled at home by on form The Cherries

Bournemouth cruise to win vs. Coventry City 3-0 on Monday at Coventry Building Society Arena. Coventry were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two games against Birmingham City away and Fulham away, by 4-2 and 3-1 respectively. Bournemouth, on the other hand, were unable to beat Middlesbrough in a 0-0 draw. As things stand, Coventry and Bournemouth sit 11th, (62 points) and 2nd, (74 points), in the table respectively, after 43 matches.

The Cherries didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, with Jamal Lowe opening the rout at the 12 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Dominic Solanke just before half-time, to take a 0-2 lead into half time.

Bournemouth fought back, with Dominic Solanke finding the net again, at 55 minutes, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

Both managers used all substitutions. For Coventry, Kyle McFadzean, Martyn Waghorn and Liam Kelly, came on for Jake Bidwell, Jamie Allen and Gustavo Hamer, Bournemouth brought on Philip Billing, Chris Mepham and Ben Pearson, to replace Jamal Lowe, Ethan Laird and Lewis Cook.

Coventry will next play West Bromwich Albion away, with Bournemouth facing Fulham at home.
