Cardiff 0 – Swansea 4: The Swans deliver resounding show at the Cardiff City Stadium

Swansea City beats Cardiff City 4-0 on Saturday at the Cardiff City Stadium. Cardiff were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning last match. Swansea are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, Cardiff are in 17th place on the table and has 46 points while Swansea sit in 16th with 51 points after 40 matches.
Swansea didn’t take long to start the rout, with Michael Obafemi opening the rout after only 6 minutes. The score at half time was 0-1.
Swansea continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ben Cabango finding the net in the 57th minute. The momentum was now with The Swans, who then scored again through a goal from Hannes Wolf, at 78 minutes to establish a 3-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a second effort from Michael Obafemi, 82 minutes in with a final score of 4-0.
Both coaches used all available substitutions. For Cardiff, Rubin Colwill, Isaak Davies and Uche Ikpeazu, came on for Thomas Doyle, Mark Thomas Harris and Jordan Hugill, Swansea brought on Jay Fulton, Korey Smith and Cameron Congreve, to replace Jamie Paterson, Michael Obafemi and Joel Piroe.
