Cardiff 1-0 Rotherham: The Bluebirds edge past The Millers

Cardiff City banked all three points against the Rotherham United in a 1-0 victory on Saturday, at the Cardiff City Stadium. Both Cardiff and Rotherham came from defeats in their previous league games. Cardiff were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 2-0 to Swansea City. Rotherham were beaten 4-2 in their previous match against Hull City. Cardiff and Rotherham currently occupy 17th and 13th spots in the league, with 21 points and 22 points respectively after 18 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Cardiff applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Jaden Philogene-Bidace in the 65th minute. They managed to close the match out with a clean sheet and a well-earned of 1-0 victory.

Substitutions for Cardiff included Mahlon Romeo, Jaden Philogene-Bidace, Romaine Sawyers, Gavin Whyte and Kion Etete for Tom Sang, Niels Nkounkou, Andy Rinomhota, Sheyi Ojo and Mark Thomas Harris, respectively. Rotherham replaced Cameron Humphreys, Georgie Kelly, Oliver Rathbone, Conor Washington and Richard Wood for Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Tom Eaves, Jamie Lindsay, Scott High and Jamie McCart.

The referee booked one player from Rotherham, Lee Peltier.

Cardiff will play at home against Watford, while Rotherham will face Burnley away.
