Saturday’s fixture between Cardiff and North End delivered a goalless draw at the Cardiff City Stadium. Both sides arrived on the back of wins. Cardiff were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two games against Queens Park Rangers away and Derby County at home, by 2-1 and 1-0 respectively. North End, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Bournemouth in their last match. As it stands, Cardiff and North End are 17th, (43 points) and 13th, (51 points), in the table respectively, after 37 matches.

Cardiff brought on Uche Ikpeazu, Rubin Colwill and Joel Bagan for Isaak Davies, Thomas Doyle and Alfie Doughty. North End brought on Ali McCann, Scott Sinclair and Joe Rafferty, to replace Liam Lindsay, Emil Riis and Alan Browne.

There were bookings for Jordan Hugill and Joe Ralls from Cardiff. For North End, Andrew Hughes and Brad Potts saw yellow.

Cardiff will next play Stoke City at home, with North End facing Luton Town away.
