Cardiff 0 – Luton 1: Visitors steal the show at the Cardiff City Stadium

Luton Town’s 1-0 win over Cardiff City on Monday, was hard fought at the Cardiff City Stadium. Cardiff were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Hull City. Luton, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest. After today’s result, Cardiff and Luton currently occupy 17th and 4th spots in the league, with 49 points and 71 points respectively after 43 matches.
After a goalless first half, Luton continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Harry Cornick in the 71st minute, leaving the final score at 1-0.
Both managers used the full entitlement. For Cardiff, Isaak Davies, Mark Thomas Harris and Uche Ikpeazu, came on for Alfie Doughty, Thomas Doyle and Jordan Hugill, Luton brought on Harry Cornick, Harry Isted and Peter Kioso, to replace James Bree, James Shea and Fred Onyedinma.
There were bookings for Joel Bagan from Cardiff, and Kal Naismith, for Luton.
Cardiff will next travel to Sheffield United, while Luton will face Blackpool at home.
