Bristol 2 – West Brom 2: Points shared with visitors at the Ashton Gate

On Saturday, Bristol and West Brom were held to a 2-2 draw at the Ashton Gate. Bristol arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Barnsley. West Brom, on the other hand, were coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Fulham. After today’s result, Bristol and West Brom currently occupy 18th and 12th spots in the league, with 44 points and 54 points respectively after 39 matches.

Bristol started the first half well, thanks to Nahki Wells giving The Robins the lead in the 29th minute. The score at half time was 1-0.

West Brom took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Karlan Grant at the 68 minute mark. However, each side looked hungry to win and Bristol then found the back of the net, at 85 minutes thanks to Andreas Weimann, taking the score to 2-1. In the end though, their celebrations were kept brief, as Adam Reach equalised for The Baggies just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 2-2.

For Bristol, Nahki Wells, came on for Antoine Semenyo. West Brom brought on Grady Diangana and Adam Reach, to replace Conor Townsend and Kyle Bartley.

There were bookings for Andreas Weimann from Bristol, and Jake Livermore, for West Brom.

West Brom and Bristol will next play away to Birmingham City and Bournemouth respectively.
