Bristol City beat Huddersfield Town with a 2-0 victory on Wednesday at the Ashton Gate. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were each keen to pick up points. Bristol were on the hunt for more points following a disappointing 3-3 draw with Blackpool in their previous game. The Robins continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, with a goal from Antoine Semenyo in the 80th minute. When the final whistle blew, the result was 2-0 to Bristol.

Substitutions for Bristol included Antoine Semenyo, Joe Williams, Chris Martin and Han-Noah Massengo for Tommy Conway, Alex Scott, Nahki Wells and Matty James, respectively. Huddersfield replaced Danny Ward, Kaine Kesler Hayden, Duane Holmes and Patrick Jones with Jordan Rhodes, Ollie Turton, Faustino Anjorin and Josh Ruffels.
