Bristol City strolled past Cardiff City with a 2-0 win on Sunday at the Ashton Gate. Bristol were looking to continue their run, following a 2-0 victory against Luton Town. Cardiff had managed to pick up a single point in their matchup with West Bromwich Albion. As things stand, both teams are on 7 points and sit in 7th and 12th places respectively after 5 matches.

Bristol started the first half well, when Tommy Conway found the net just before halftime

The Robins continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Robert Atkinson, 64 minutes in, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for Bristol included Chris Martin, Andy King, Kane Wilson and Timm Klose for Tommy Conway, Joe Williams, Han-Noah Massengo and Nahki Wells, repectively. Cardiff brought on Jack Simpson, Mark Thomas Harris, Jaden Philogene-Bidace, Joe Ralls, Rubin Colwill and Kion Etete, to replace Joel Bagan, Max Watters, Sheyi Ojo, Romaine Sawyers, Andy Rinomhota and Mahlon Romeo.
