Bournemouth 1 – Millwall 0: Home fans rewarded with victory at the Vitality Stadium

Bournemouth defeat Millwall 1-0 on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium. Both Bournemouth and Millwall arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Bournemouth were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Millwall were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-0 victory against Peterborough United. This left, Bournemouth are in 2nd place on the table and has 88 points while Millwall sit in 9th with 69 points after 46 matches.

After an un-eventful first half, The Cherries piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Kieffer Moore, at 81 minutes. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 1-0 to Bournemouth.

Both managers used allfull available substitutions. For Bournemouth, Siriki Dembele, Kieffer Moore and Philip Billing, came on for Robbie Brady, Emiliano Marcondes and Lewis Cook, Millwall replaced Maikel Kieftenbeld, Jed Wallace and Tom Bradshaw with Murray Wallace, Mason Bennett and Ryan Leonard.

The referee booked two players from Millwall, Maikel Kieftenbeld and George Saville.
