Blackpool 0-1 Blackburn: Rovers end losing streak with narrow win at Bloomfield Road

Blackburn Rovers beat Blackpool with a 1-0 victory on Wednesday at Bloomfield Road. Blackpool were looking for a victory after a 3-3 draw against Bristol City whilst Blackburn were beaten 1-0 in their previous match against Stoke City. Blackpool and Blackburn sit 15th, (8 points) and 5th, (12 points), in the league respectively, after 7 matches.

Blackburn started the first half well, when Ben Brereton found the net, at 16 minutes, ending the first half 1-0. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Blackpool included Theodor Corbeanu and Ian Poveda for Shayne Lavery and Gary Madine, respectively. Blackburn brought on Jack Vale and Tayo Edun, to replace Tyrhys Dolan and Bradley Dack.

There were bookings for Dominic Thompson and Marvin Ekpiteta from Blackpool, and Ben Brereton, Lewis Travis and Jack Vale, for Blackburn.

Blackpool will next travel to Huddersfield Town, while Blackburn will face Bristol City at home.
