Blackburn 2-0 Watford: Rovers celebrate victory at Ewood

Blackburn Rovers’ 2-0 win over Watford on Tuesday, was hard fought at Ewood Park. Blackburn arrived at the match looking to pick up more points after losing their last match 3-2 to Bristol City. Watford, meanwhile, were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Blackburn and Watford sit 3rd, (15 points) and 7th, (13 points), spots respectively, after 10 matches.

Blackburn dominated the first half, when Ryan Hedges gave them the lead, at 38 minutes, and they saw out the first half 1-0.

Rovers once more applied the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Dominic Hyam found the net on the 82 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-0.

The referee booked Dominic Hyam and Ryan Hedges for Blackburn.

Blackburn will next travel to Luton Town, while Watford will face Sunderland AFC at home.
