On Tuesday, Birmingham and Swansea played out a 2-2 draw at St Andrew’s Stadium. Birmingham were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Stoke City. Swansea, meanwhile, were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Birmingham are now in 10th place on the table and have 28 points while Swansea sit in 7th with 30 points after 9 matches.

Birmingham started the match strongly, when Scott Hogan found the net, 12 minutes in. However, their lead was short-lived, as an equalizer from Olivier Ntcham on the 30 minute mark, brought Swansea level. The Swans then scored again and turned the match thanks to a goal from Matt Grimes just before half-time to see out the first half 2-1.

Blues took the initiative in the second half, when Troy Deeney found the net just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-2.

Substitutions for Birmingham included George Hall and Lukas Jutkiewicz for Jordan Graham and Tahith Chong, respectively. Swansea brought on Oliver Cooper, Matthew Sorinola and Michael Obafemi, to replace Luke Cundle, Nathan Wood-Gordon and Olivier Ntcham.

There were bookings for Troy Deeney and Juninho Bacuna from Birmingham. For Swansea, Ryan Manning, Nathan Wood-Gordon, Harry Darling and Jay Fulton saw yellow.

Birmingham will next play Sunderland AFC at home, with Swansea facing Huddersfield Town away.
