Birmingham 0-0 Coventry: Blues play out goalless draw

Birmingham were helde ach other to a 0-0 draw by Coventry on Saturday at St Andrew’s Stadium. Birmingham were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games in the league. The most recent was against the West Bromwich Albion away (3-2), the other to Preston North End away (1-0). Coventry were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Birmingham are now in 17th place on the table and have 12 points while Coventry sit in 24th with 3 points after 11 matches.

Substitutions for Birmingham included Hannibal Mejbri and Lukas Jutkiewicz for Juninho Bacuna and Troy Deeney, respectively. Coventry replaced Kasey Palmer and Tyler Walker with Jamie Allen and Matt Godden.

The referee booked Dion Sanderson from Birmingham. Coventry had the worst of it though, with Ben Sheaf, Jonathan Panzo and Fankaty Dabo seeing yellow, and Gustavo Hamer then sent off with a red.

Birmingham will next travel to Sheffield United, while Coventry will face Middlesbrough at home.
