Barnsley 1 – Reading 1: The Tykes held at Oakwell Ground by The Royals

Barnsley were held to 1-1 draw by Reading down on Saturday at Oakwell Ground. Barnsley were looking forward to meeting again after losing their last game 2-0 to Sheffield United. Reading were able to continue their winning streak after a 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers in their last match. As the table looks today, Barnsley are in 22nd place on the table and has 29 points while Reading sit in 21st with 34 points after 40 matches.
Barnsley started strongly in the first half, thanks to an early goal from Carlton Morris in the 4th minute, which saw the first half end 1-0.
The Royals took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Josh Laurent, at 82 minutes. The game ended 1-1.
For Barnsley, Clarke Oduor and Victor Adeboyejo, came on for Callum Styles and Matty Wolfe. Reading brought on Tom Dele-Bashiru, to replace Ovie Ejaria.
There were bookings for Mads Andersen and Callum Brittain from Barnsley, and John Swift and Tom Ince, for Reading.
