VIC 3 – Ternana 1: Visitors to Stadio Romeo Menti leave with nothing

Vicenza snatched all three points from Ternana Calcio in a 3-1 victory on Sunday, at Stadio Romeo Menti. VIC were hoping to get something from this game after losing their last game 3-1 to Reggina. Ternana, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Pordenone. After today’s result, VIC and Ternana currently occupy 18th and 14th spots in the league, with 21 points and 34 points respectively after 28 matches.
VIC started the first half well, thanks to Diaw finding the net after only 7 minutes. VIC looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a second effort from Diaw in the 27th minute to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Teodorczyk made it 3-0 just before half-time to see out the first half 3-0.
Ternana staged a comeback in the second half, with Donnarumma finding the net in the 55th minute, leaving the final score at 3-1.
For VIC, Grandi, Boli, Maggio, Giacomelli and Meggiorini, came on for Contini, Teodorczyk, Bruscagin, Dalmonte and Da Cruz. Ternana brought on Donnarumma, Defendi, Paghera, Celli and Mazzocchi, to replace Federico Furlan, Bogdan, Martella, Ilias Koutsoupias and Peralta.
There were bookings for Teodorczyk, Diaw, Da Cruz, Maggio and Meggiorini from VIC, and Bogdan and Paghera, for Ternana.
VIC will next play AC Monza away, with Ternana facing Nuova Cosenza at home.
