VIC 1 – Perugia 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at Stadio Romeo Menti

Perugia snatched all three points from Vicenza in a 2-1 victory on Monday, at Stadio Romeo Menti. VIC arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 1-0 to Benevento. Perugia are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As things stand, VIC and Perugia currently occupy 18th and 9th spots in the table, with 25 points and 52 points respectively after 35 matches.

VIC started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to an early goal from Dalmonte in the 2nd minute. However, their lead was short lived, as Curado equalised for Perugia in the 17th minute to see out the first half 1-1.

Perugia continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Segre, 57 minutes in so at full time it was 2-1 to Perugia.

For VIC, Ranocchia, Teodorczyk, Greco, Da Cruz and Crecco, came on for Giacomelli, Dalmonte, Zonta, Cavion and Lukaku. Perugia brought on Olivieri, Beghetto, Santoro, Ghion and Carretta, to replace De Luca, Lisi, Segre, Ferrarini and Matos.

There were bookings for Giacomelli, Diaw and Padella from VIC. For Perugia, De Luca, Lisi and Matos saw yellow.

VIC will next travel to Como, while Perugia will face Parma at home.
