USA 2 – SPAL 2: Honours even and points shared at Stadio Giuseppe Moccagatta

On Saturday, USA and SPAL were held to a 2-2 draw at Stadio Giuseppe Moccagatta. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. USA were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Ternana Calcio while SPAL lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Cremonese. As it stands, USA are in 16th place, with 26 points from 32 matches, while SPAL sit in 15th, with 33 points from 32.

USA found the net first, with Corazza giving USA the lead in the 18th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Capradossi equalised for The Little Swallows at the 32 minute mark, finalising the first half 1-1.

SPAL fought back, thanks to an early goal from Viviani in the 50th minute. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Marconi equalised for USA at the 81 minute mark and seeing the game end 2-2.

For USA, Marconi, Mattiello, Palombi, Kolaj and Edoardo Pierozzi, came on for Corazza, Lunetta, Ba, Fabbrini and Mustacchio. SPAL replaced Colombo, Viviani, Mancosu, Vido and Pinato for Esposito, Jacopo Da Riva, Melchiorri, Mora and Latte Lath.

There were bookings for Ba and Marconi from USA. For SPAL, Pinato, Vido, Colombo and Zanellato saw yellow.

USA will play their next fixture away against Cremonese, while SPAL will face Nuova Cosenza at home.
