Ternana Calcio snatched all three points from Perugia in a 1-0 victory on Saturday, at Stadio Libero Liberati. Both Ternana and Perugia arrived on the back of wins. Ternana were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 2-1 victory against Benevento whilst Perugia were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Parma and Vicenza. As the table looks today, Ternana and Perugia sit 10th, (54 points) and 9th, (55 points), spots respectively, after 37 matches.

Ternana started the game well, with a goal from Donnarumma in the 36th minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the game ended 1-0.

For Ternana, Pettinari, Paghera, Ghiringhelli and Mazzocchi, came on for Donnarumma, Palumbo, Martella and Partipilo. Perugia brought on Segre, Carretta, De Luca, Falzerano and Beghetto, to replace Ferrarini, Santoro, Lisi, Kouan and Curado.

There were bookings for Proietti, Palumbo, Iannarilli and Paghera from Ternana, and Kouan, Matos, Curado and Rosi, for Perugia.

Ternana will next play Ascoli away, with Perugia facing AC Monza at home.
