Ternana 1 – Genoa 2: Visitors at Stadio Libero Liberati secure victory

Genoa eased past Ternana Calcio in a 2-1 victory on Saturday at Stadio Libero Liberati. Both Ternana and Genoa arrived on the back of wins. Ternana were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Benevento away and Palermo FC at home, by 3-2 and 3-0 respectively. Genoa were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Nuova Cosenza in their last match. Ternana are now in 3rd place on the table and have 19 points while Genoa sit in 2nd with 21 points after 10 matches.

Genoa continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Coda in the 76th minute. The Griffin then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a 2nd effort from Coda on the 78 minute mark to give a final score of 2-1.

Substitutions for Ternana included Agazzi, Pettinari, Celli, Donnarumma and Moro for Falletti, Favilli, Cassata, Di Tacchio and Salim Diakite, respectively. Genoa brought on Czyborra, Puşcaş, Strootman, Portanova and Touré, to replace Pajač, Yalcin, Frendrup, Coda and Gudmundsson.

There were bookings for Favilli from Ternana. For Genoa, Josep Martínez saw yellow.

Ternana will play away against SSC Bari, while Genoa will face Brecia Calcio at home.
