Ternana 4 – FRO 4: Points shared at Stadio Libero Liberati after draw

On Monday, Ternana and FRO were held to a 4-4 draw at Stadio Libero Liberati. Both teams arrived on the back of wins. Ternana were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run, following a 2-1 victory against Crotone. FRO were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Cremonese. After today’s result, Ternana are in 11th place, with 48 points from 35 matches, while FRO sit in 8th, with 55 points from 35.

FRO started strongly in the first half, with Rohden finding the net, 10 minutes in. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Proietti managed to equalize and take the sides off at the 21 minute mark at 1-1. The momentum was now with Ternana, who then scored again through a goal from Minelli, 27 minutes in to establish a 2-1. However, their lead didn’t last for long, Bogdan producing an equaliser, 37 minutes in, bringing FRO level. Ternana in turn, then responded just before half-time increasing their lead with an effort from Palumbo to see out the first half 3-2.

FRO took the lead in the second half, thanks to Federico Gatti finding the net, 64 minutes in. However, each side looked hungry to win and Ternana then found the back of the net in the 77th minute thanks to Pettinari, taking the score to 4-3. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Novakovich equalised for FRO just before the final whistle. The final result, Ternana 4, FRO 4.

For Ternana, Boben, Pettinari, Ghiringhelli, Capuano and Agazzi, came on for Salim Diakite, Martella, Defendi, Donnarumma and Palumbo. FRO brought on Novakovich, Garritano, Cicerelli, Tribuzzi and Hamza Haoudi, to replace Canotto, Rohden, Brighenti, Lulić and Zerbin.

There were bookings for Bogdan and Ilias Koutsoupias from Ternana, and Ciano, Rohden, Boloca and Garritano, for FRO.

Ternana will play away against Benevento, while FRO will face AC Monza at home.
