SPAL 1 – Crotone 1: Victory beyond reach for The Little Swallows at Stadio Paolo Mazza

SPAL were held to 1-1 draw by Crotone down on Monday at Stadio Paolo Mazza. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. SPAL were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Lecce. Crotone lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Ternana Calcio. As it stands, SPAL are in 15th place on the table and has 35 points while Crotone sit in 19th with 22 points after 35 matches.

Crotone dominated the first half, with Schnegg finding the net early in the first half, which saw the first half end 0-1.

The Little Swallows took the initiative in the second half, thanks to a goal from Rossi just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 1-1 draw.

For SPAL, Finotto, Meccariello, Esposito, Melchiorri and Rossi, came on for Vido, Vicari, Jacopo Da Riva, Colombo and Pinato. Crotone brought on Kone, Sala and Mogos for Kargbo, Schnegg and Calapai.

There were bookings for Dickmann and Esposito from SPAL. For Crotone, Awua saw yellow.

SPAL will next travel to Brecia Calcio, while Crotone will face Cremonese at home.
