REG 3 – VIC 1: Visitors unable to get win at Stadio Oreste Granillo

Reggina strolled past Vicenza with a 3-1 win on Wednesday at Stadio Oreste Granillo. Both sides arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. REG were looking to pick up points after winning last match. VIC were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Pordenone. After today’s result, REG are in 11th place on the table and has 38 points while VIC sit in 18th with 18 points after 27 matches.

REG dominated the first half, thanks to Galabinov finding the net, at 35 minutes. REG looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Ménez in the 42nd minute to establish a 2-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Cortinovis made it 3-0 just before half-time to see out the first half 3-0.

VIC took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Padella in the 80th minute, leaving the final score at 3-1.

For REG, Crisetig, Tumminello, Bellomo and Kupisz, came on for Cortinovis, Galabinov, Ménez and Folorunsho. VIC brought on Tommaso Mancini, Sandon, Maggio, Alessio Filippo and Malik Djibril, to replace Giacomelli, Teodorczyk, Crecco, Dalmonte and Zonta.

There were bookings for Bellomo and Bianchi from REG. For VIC, Brosco and Da Cruz saw yellow.

REG will next play Parma away, with VIC facing Ternana Calcio at home.
