REG 1 – NUO 0: Visitors to Stadio Oreste Granillo leave with nothing

Reggina strolled past Nuova Cosenza with a 1-0 win on Saturday at Stadio Oreste Granillo. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. REG arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a scoreless draw against Cittadella in their previous match whilst NUO had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Lecce. As the table looks today, REG and NUO currently occupy 11th and 17th spots in the table, with 43 points and 24 points respectively after 31 matches.

REG dominated the first half, with Folorunsho finding the net, 36 minutes in to take them into the break 1-0 up. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For REG, Adjapong, Stavropoulos, Bianchi and Galabinov, came on for Kupisz, Cortinovis, Giraudo and Rivas. NUO replaced Di Pardo, Laura, Voca, Carraro and Sy with Rigione, Millico, Vallocchia, Kongolo and Liotti.

There were bookings for Kupisz, Di Chiara, Adjapong, Cionek, Amione and Stavropoulos from REG. For NUO, Rigione, Giuseppe Caso, Vallocchia, Larrivey, Sy and Laura saw yellow.

REG will play their next fixture away against Cremonese, while NUO will face Parma at home.
