REG 1 – Como 4: Home side humiliated by travelling Stadio Oreste Granillo

Como’s 4-1 win over Reggina on Saturday, was hard fought at Stadio Oreste Granillo. REG were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with US Alessandria in their previous game. Como lost 2-0 in the last match they played against Vicenza. As the table looks today, REG and Como currently occupy 14th and 12th spots in the league, with 46 points and 47 points respectively after 37 matches.

Como started the first half well, with Parigini opening the rout at the 20 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Álex Blanco made it 2-0 just before half-time, which saw the first half end 0-2.

REG started the second half with renewed vigour, with Denis finding the net in the 52nd minute. However, Como increased their advantage 3-1 thanks to a goal from Cerri at the 61 minute mark. Como then netted again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from La Gumina, at 83 minutes to make it 4-1.

For REG, Rivas, Giraudo, Mario Paura, Galabinov and Emanuele Foti, came on for Bellomo, Damiano Franco, Cionek, Montalto and Denis. Como brought on La Gumina, Peli, Nardi and Gabrielloni, to replace Gliozzi, Parigini, Álex Blanco and Cerri.

The referee booked Montalto and Cionek for REG.

REG will next travel to Brecia Calcio, while Como will face Cremonese at home.
