REG 0 – Benevento 3: Stadio Oreste Granillo stunned as visitors seal victory

Benevento cruise to win vs. Reggina 3-0 on Tuesday at Stadio Oreste Granillo. REG wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Cremonese in their previous game. Benevento, on the other hand, were able to continue their winning streak after a 5-1 win against Pisa in their last match. As the table looks today, REG and Benevento are 13th, (44 points) and 4th, (57 points), spots respectively, after 33 matches.

Benevento started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Insigne opening the rout in the 21st minute. The score at half time was 0-1.

Benevento continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Forte in the 79th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Moncini made it 3-0 just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-0.

For REG, Lombardi, Rivas, Bellomo, Denis and Aya, came on for Adjapong, Galabinov, Loiacono, Cortinovis and Amione. Benevento brought on Tello, Mattia Viviani, Petriccione, Gyamfi and Moncini, to replace Ioniţă, Insigne, Elia, Caló and Forte.

There were bookings for Di Chiara and Folorunsho from REG, and Petriccione and Vogliacco, for Benevento.

REG will next play Ascoli away, with Benevento facing Vicenza at home.
