Modena fell to an away defeat at the hands of Pisa at Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani on Sunday. PIS arrived with the intention of improving their league position after a 3-3 draw against Palermo FC.

started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, thanks to a goal from Nicholas Bonfanti in the 19th minute. However, their lead was short-lived, as Gliozzi equalised for PIS just before half-time, to take a 1-1 lead into half time.

PIS rallied after this and were rewarded, when Torregrossa found the net, 74 minutes in. The momentum was again with PIS, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from Masucci on the 82 minute mark to establish a 3-1 result. However, refused to lie down and managed to pull back a goal from Magnino in the 84th minute. PIS in turn, then responded just before the full time increasing their lead with a 2nd effort from Torregrossa, seing the match finish 4-2.

Substitutions for PIS included Torregrossa, Mastinu, Morutan, Masucci and Canestrelli for Tramoni, Ioniţă, Sibilli, Gliozzi and Calabresi, respectively.
