PIS 3 – Crotone 2: Home fans rewarded with victory at Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani

Pisa strolled past Crotone with a 3-2 win on Wednesday at Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. PIS arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Reggina. Crotone had lost their previous match against Ascoli. As the table looks today, PIS and Crotone sit 4th, (49 points) and 19th, (15 points), in the league respectively, after 27 matches.

PIS dominated the first half, with Puşcaş giving PIS the lead, at 22 minutes. The momentum was now with PIS, who then scored again through a goal from Benali at the 37 minute mark to establish a 2-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Torregrossa just before half-time. The first half ended 3-0.

Crotone took the lead in the second half, thanks to Mogos finding the net at the 61 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Cuomo made it 3-2 in the 69th minute with a final score of 3-2.

For PIS, Hermannsson, Lucca, Nagy, Gucher and Touré, came on for Caracciolo, Torregrossa, Mastinu, Benali and Siega. Crotone brought on Mulattieri, Mogos, Nedelcearu and Schnegg, to replace Schirò, Calapai, Marras and Sala.

There were bookings for Puşcaş, Leverbe and Hermannsson from PIS. For Crotone, Kone, Golemic and Nedelcearu saw yellow.

PIS will next travel to Pordenone, while Crotone will face US Alessandria at home.
