PIS 3 – USC 0: Bad day for visitors at Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani

Pisa cruise past Cremonese 3-0 on Sunday at Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani. Both PIS and USC arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. PIS were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches against Pordenone away and Crotone at home, by 1-0 and 3-2 respectively whilst USC were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-1 victory against Brecia Calcio. As the table looks today, PIS are in 1st place, with 55 points from 29 matches, while USC sit in 3rd, with 53 points from 29.

PIS started the game well, with Torregrossa opening the rout, at 9 minutes and managed to see out the first half 1-0.

PIS started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early 2nd effort from Torregrossa in the 50th minute. PIS then scored again and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Puşcaş just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-0.

For PIS, Puşcaş, De Vitis, Gucher, Hermannsson and Lucca, came on for Torregrossa, Siega, Benali, Sibilli and Birindelli. USC replaced Rafia, Fagioli, Zanimacchia, Ciofani and Sernicola for Di Carmine, Luca Valzania, Buonaiuto, Gondo and Casasola.

There were bookings for Marin, Birindelli, Sibilli and Nagy from PIS. For USC, Caleb Okoli, Valeri and Baez saw yellow.

PIS will next travel to Ascoli, while USC will face Pordenone at home.
