PIS 1 – CTT 0: Visitors to Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani leave with nothing
Pisa beat Cittadella with a thumping 1-0 victory on Sunday at Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani. PIS were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 2-0 to Ascoli. CTT are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. After today’s result, PIS and CTT currently occupy 1st and 10th spots in the league, with 58 points and 44 points respectively after 31 matches.
PIS found the net first, with Torregrossa finding the net just before half-time Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.
For PIS, Gucher, Puşcaş, Mastinu, Touré and Masucci, came on for Torregrossa, Sibilli, Siega, Marin and Lucca. CTT brought on Visentin, Laribi, Lores, Tavernelli and Perticone, to replace Del Fabro, Pavan, Vita, Beretta and Antonucci.
The referee booked Lucca, Siega, Marin, Mastinu and Caracciolo from PIS. CTT had the worst of it though, with Branca, Frare and Cassandro seeing yellow, and Frare (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.
PIS will play their next fixture away against Benevento, while CTT will face Ternana Calcio at home.
