Perugia 0 – CTT 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at Stadio Renato Curi

Cittadella’s 2-0 win over Perugia on Sunday, was hard fought at Stadio Renato Curi. Perugia were looking to pick up points after winning last match whilst CTT were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Perugia are now in 20th place on the table and have 7 points while CTT sit in 12th with 14 points after 11 matches.

CTT dominated the first half, when Beretta gave them the lead, at 12 minutes, finishing the first half 1-0.

CTT continued to pile on the pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Magrassi found the net just before the final whistle, to hand a welcome victory to the visitors.

Substitutions for Perugia included Kouan, Di Serio, Di Carmine, Beghetto and Olivieri for Sgarbi, Melchiorri, Strizzolo, Paz and Bartolomei, respectively. CTT brought on Mazzocco, Mattioli, Magrassi, Carriero and Tounkara, to replace Mastrantonio, Cassandro, Antonucci, Lores and Beretta.

The referee booked Iannoni from Perugia and Iannoni (2 yellow cards) went off with a red card, while CTT’s Cassandro, Mastrantonio, Beretta and Perticone also received a yellow.

Perugia will next travel to Frosinone, while CTT will face Modena at home.
