Perugia beat Ascoli with a 1-0 victory on Saturday at Stadio Renato Curi. Perugia were hoping to get something from this game, following defeat to Brecia Calcio. ASC had secured a point against Cittadella in their previous match. Perugia and ASC currently occupy 17th and 7th spots in the league, with 4 points and 8 points respectively after 5 matches.

It was an impressive opening from Perugia, when Strizzolo gave them the lead just before half-time The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Perugia included Kouan, Iannoni and Melchiorri for Strizzolo, Santoro and Di Carmine, respectively. ASC brought on Dionisi, Samuel Giovane, Mendes, Lungoyi and Adjapong, to replace Falzerano, Büchel, Bidaoui, Donati and Collocolo.

There were bookings for Bartolomei, Paz and Kouan from Perugia, and Bellusci, Donati, Samuel Giovane and Eramo, for ASC.

Perugia will next travel to Ternana Calcio, while ASC will face Parma at home.
