Parma beat Reggina with a 2-0 victory on Saturday at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. Parma were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Pisa in their previous game. REG had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 3-0 victory against Nuova Cosenza. Parma and REG are 6th, (16 points) and 2nd, (18 points), spots respectively, after 9 matches.

After an uneventful first half, whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on The Crusaders who started the second half strongly, when Oosterwolde found the net on the 51 minute mark. Parma then netted again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Valenti, at 74 minutes to give a final score of 2-0.

Substitutions for Parma included Bonny, Ansaldi, Zagaritis, Tutino and Sohm for Coulibaly, Benedyczak, Hainaut, Inglese and Vázquez, respectively. REG brought on Gori, Ricci, Cicerelli, Crisetig and Giraudo, to replace Hernani, Canotto, Rivas, Majer and Di Chiara.

There were bookings for Coulibaly and Oosterwolde from Parma, and Majer, for REG.

Parma will next travel to FC Südtirol, while REG will face Perugia at home.
