NUO 1 – Parma 3: The Crusaders, fearless, go to Stadio San Vito and win

Parma defeat Nuova Cosenza 3-1 on Saturday at Stadio San Vito. NUO arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing their last game 1-0 to Reggina whilst Parma had managed to pick up a single point in their encounter with Lecce. As the table looks today, NUO and Parma sit 18th, (24 points) and 13th, (42 points), in the league respectively, after 32 matches.

Parma started the first half well, thanks to Bernabe giving The Crusaders the lead in the 10th minute. The Crusaders then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Danilo just before half-time and seeing the first half out 0-2.

NUO took the initiative in the second half, with Larrivey finding the net in the 75th minute. Parma in turn, then responded just before the final whistle increasing their lead with a second effort from Bernabe. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 3-1 to Parma.

For NUO, Aldo Florenzi, Liotti, Pandolfi, Di Pardo and Ndoj, came on for Vallocchia, Carraro, Giuseppe Caso, Väisänen and Palmiero. Parma brought on Circati, Benedyczak, Brunetta, Simy Nwankwo and Coulibaly, to replace Balogh, Tutino, Pandev, Vázquez and Rispoli.

There were bookings for Vallocchia and Pandolfi from NUO, and Circati, Del Prato and Benedyczak, for Parma.

NUO will next travel to SPAL, while Parma will face Como at home.
