NUO 0 – ASS 2: Visitors at Stadio San Vito secure victory

Nuova Cosenza fell to a home defeat at the hands of AC Monza at Stadio San Vito on Sunday. NUO wanted to continue adding points after a 2-2 draw against SPAL while ASS were looking to extend their winning run after a 2-0 victory against Ascoli. Following today’s result, NUO and ASS sit 18th, (25 points) and 2nd, (63 points), in the table respectively, after 34 matches.

ASS started the first half well, thanks to a goal from Mattia Valoti, 15 minutes in and the first half ended 0-1.

ASS continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Gytkjaer at the 62 minute mark. They managed to see the game out with a clean sheet and a final score of 2-0.

For NUO, Laura, Pandolfi, Massimo Zilli, Ndoj and Gerbo, came on for Palmiero, Sy, Di Pardo, Liotti and Carraro. ASS brought on D’Alessandro, Colpani, Lorenzo Pirola, Pepín and Mancuso, to replace Pedro Pereira, Carlos Augusto, Gytkjaer, Ciurria and Mota.

There were bookings for Di Pardo from NUO, and Carlos Augusto, Ciurria, Barberis, Colpani and Sampirisi, for ASS.

NUO will next play Cremonese away, with ASS facing Brecia Calcio at home.
