Lecce 2 – PIS 0: Giallorossi see off visitors at Stadio Via del Mar

Lecce strolled past Pisa with a 2-0 win on Monday at Stadio Via del Mar. Lecce arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Reggina. PIS were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-1 win against Como in their last match. As the table looks today, Lecce and PIS are 1st, (68 points) and 5th, (63 points), spots respectively, after 36 matches.

Giallorossi started strongly in the first half, thanks to a goal from Lucioni at the 18 minute mark, seeing out the first half 1-0.

Lecce continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Faragò just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 2-0.

For Lecce, Faragò, Calabresi, Tuia, Bjorkengren and Listkowski, came on for Dermaku, Gargiulo, Gendrey, Blin and Gabriel Espeto. PIS replaced Sibilli, Lucca, De Vitis, Masucci and Cohen with Benali, Torregrossa, Mastinu, Puşcaş and Beruatto.

There were bookings for Gallo, Coda and Tuia from Lecce, and Marin, Caracciolo and Leverbe, for PIS.

Lecce will next play Vicenza away, with PIS facing Nuova Cosenza at home.
