Lecce 1 – CTT 2: Visitors ecstatic after win at Stadio Via del Mar

Cittadella enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against Lecce at Stadio Via del Mar on Wednesday. Lecce were looking to pick up points after winning last match whilst CTT lost 1-0 in the last match they played against Benevento. Following today’s result, Lecce and CTT sit 2nd, (46 points) and 10th, (38 points), in the league respectively, after 25 matches.

CTT started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with an early goal from Antonucci in the 1st minute, seeing out the first half 0-1.

CTT continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to Tounkara finding the net, at 65 minutes. In the end though, Lecce just before the final whistle pull-back following a Coda goal, leaving the final score at 2-1.

For Lecce, Helgason, Ragusa, Calabresi, Pablo Rodríguez and Barreca, came on for Gargiulo, Majer, Gendrey, Listkowski and Gallo. CTT brought on Tavernelli, Lores, Beretta and Del Fabro, to replace Antonucci, Mastrantonio, Tounkara and Perticone.

There were bookings for Listkowski and Ragusa from Lecce. For CTT, Donnarumma, Mastrantonio, Visentin, Antonucci and Perticone saw yellow.

Lecce will next travel to AC Monza, while CTT will face Frosinone at home.
