Lecce 1 – Brescia 1: Points shared at Stadio Via del Mar after draw

Lecce were held to 1-1 draw by Brescia down on Saturday at Stadio Via del Mar. Lecce were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Perugia. Brescia lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Cremonese. Following today’s result, Lecce and Brescia currently occupy 1st and 3rd spots in the table, with 54 points and 52 points respectively after 29 matches.

Lecce started strongly in the first half, thanks to Gabriel Espeto finding the net, 20 minutes in. However, their lead was short lived, as Bisoli equalised for Brescia in the 30th minute to see out the first half 1-1. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-1 at full time.

For Lecce, Gargiulo, Gallo, Listkowski, Blin and Simic, came on for Helgason, Barreca, Pablo Rodríguez, Bjorkengren and Dermaku. Brescia brought on Bertagnoli, Proia, Karacic, Palacio and Aye, to replace Van De Looi, Sabelli, Pajač, Tramoni and Palacio.

There were bookings for Barreca and Plizzari from Lecce, and Van De Looi, Sabelli and Proia, for Brescia.

Lecce will next travel to Nuova Cosenza, while Brescia will face Benevento at home.
