Genoa banked all three points against the Modena in a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday, at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris. Both teams arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Genoa were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 1-0 to Palermo FC in their previous fixture.
Genoa started the first half well, when Jagiello gave them the lead just before half-time Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.
Substitutions for Genoa included Aramu, Bani, Yeboah, Strootman and Ilsanker for Jagiello, Vogliacco, Yalcin, Portanova and Badelj, respectively.
