FRO 3 – REG 0: Bad day for visitors at stadio Benito Stirpe
Frosinone on a 3-0 win against Reggina on Wednesday at stadio Benito Stirpe. FRO arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 2-2 draw against Brecia Calcio whilst REG were coming from consecutive wins against Pordenone and SPAL. As the table looks today, FRO and REG are 7th, (41 points) and 12th, (32 points), spots respectively, after 25 matches.
After a goalless first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on FRO who started the second half well, with an early goal from Charpentier in the 48th minute. The momentum was now with FRO, who then scored again through a goal from Ciano, 69 minutes in to establish a 2-0. FRO then netted once more and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Canotto just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-0.
For FRO, Brighenti, Lulić, Canotto, Barišić and Novakovich, came on for Charpentier, Garritano, Cotali, Zampano and Ciano. REG brought on Giraudo, Ménez, Denis, Hetemaj and Montalto, to replace Adjapong, Bellomo, Tumminello, Crisetig and Galabinov.
There were bookings for Zampano, Cotali, Charpentier and Federico Gatti from FRO, and Bellomo, Bianchi, Ménez and Montalto, for REG.
FRO will next travel to Cittadella, while REG will face Pisa at home.
