FRO 1 – Perugia 0: Visitors leave stadio Benito Stirpe with nothing

On Saturday, Perugia suffered an away defeat to Frosinone at stadio Benito Stirpe. FRO were keen to hang onto their position at the top of the table and extend their winning run after winning their previous two games against Nuova Cosenza away and SSC Bari at home, by 2-1 and 1-0 respectively. Perugia were beaten 2-0 in their previous match against Cittadella. FRO are now in 1st place on the table and have 27 points while Perugia sit in 20th with 7 points after 12 matches.

FRO dominated the first half, when Rohden gave them the lead just before half-time Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 1-0.

Substitutions for FRO included Mulattieri, Riccardo Ciervo, Frabotta, Gennaro Borrelli and Lulić for Giuseppe Caso, Moro, Cotali, Garritano and Rohden, respectively. Perugia brought on Melchiorri, Kouan, Olivieri, Vulić and Lisi, to replace Di Serio, Santoro, Strizzolo, Bartolomei and Beghetto.

The referee booked four players from Perugia, Sgarbi, Curado, Melchiorri and Dell’orco.

Next up, FRO are away to Ascoli, whilst Perugia will travel to face Modena.
