FRO 1 – NUO 0: Visitors unable to get win at stadio Benito Stirpe
On Wednesday, Nuova Cosenza suffer an away defeat to Frosinone at stadio Benito Stirpe. FRO were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Cittadella. NUO had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 2-1 victory against US Alessandria. As it stands, FRO and NUO currently occupy 7th and 17th spots in the table, with 44 points and 23 points respectively after 27 matches.
Following a goalless first half, FRO applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Charpentier giving FRO the lead at the 82 minute mark. The final result, FRO 1, NUO 0.
For FRO, Novakovich, Zampano, Tribuzzi and Kalaj, came on for Ciano, Cotali, Cicerelli and Charpentier. NUO replaced Di Pardo, Larrivey, Ndoj, Carraro and Pandolfi with Bittante, Aldo Florenzi, Palmiero, Giuseppe Caso and Hristov.
There were bookings for Rohden and Charpentier from FRO, and Väisänen, Camporese, Hristov and Palmiero, for NUO.
FRO will next play Ascoli away, with NUO facing Benevento at home.
